Derivative EC Kit (GB Ended)
An electro-capacitive (EC) conversion kit designed for your Derivative keyboard. Love the feel of Topre or EC but can’t bear to part with your Derivative? Now you don’t have to! Just a heads-up—this is a BYOB (bring your own board) situation, so don’t get too hyped—the keyboard itself isn’t included. But you do get a killer plate, an absolutely stellar PCB, fully custom silicone friction-fit tabs, and some perfectly average (but totally essential) screws.
Take your already-awesome Derivative and transform it into the thocky antihero your desk deserves.

This is a group buy that will not ship immediately. By purchasing a Derivative EC Kit you understand that you are joining a group buy will not receive your kit until after the kit is manufactured, shipped to our warehouse, QC'd, and then shipped to you by our fulfillment team sometime in late Q2 or early Q3, 2025.

What you'll need
The following is a list of parts that are not included to complete your EC build.
- The keyboard that this kit is designed for. This kit replaces your existing MX plate and PCB.
- Daughterboard and JST cable - these are not included as you are able to use your existing daughterboard and JST cable that came with your board.
- EC 1u sliders
- EC 2u sliders
- EC 2u wires
- EC spacebar stabilizers (neither the wire, housings, or stems)
- EC domes
Clever EC parts that are optimized for our plates will be available on our site prior to or by fulfillment.
MOQ for group buy
Please note that MOQ for this project is ~75 units. In the event that we do not reach MOQ and the factory is unwilling to produce these kits at the target price, all customers that joined the group buy will receive a full refund.
